everything you get (and the one thing you don't)

Shift Nudge has grown a lot in 2026.

In this year alone I added the Portfolio Workshop, the new Claude Code training, and Shift Nudge AI.

They all connect to helping you design and ship work you're proud of.

The interface training and Shift Nudge AI are all connected to the same 16 principles and help you apply them to your own work. The Claude Code training walks through the fundamentals of building with AI to bring your skills up to par with what's expected of product designers now. The Portfolio Workshop series gives you the playbook for getting your best work in front of the right people to give you the best chance for success.

Let me break it all down...

Interface Design Training

Fig. 1

16 principles, 80+ lessons across eight modules. This is OG. This is THE curriculum that has served over 5,000 designers since 2020. It has leveled up individuals and teams. This material is not trendy and doesn’t go out of style. Typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and all of the nitty gritty details that make designs work.

In this training you build the eye to see what's off, understand why, and most importantly how to fix it.

Figma 101 is also included if you need to ramp up on design tool basics.

Jonah Stefanovic, Design Engineer at hmmh AG: “I’ve learned more from this course in one week than a full year of being self-taught! Very glad I made the decision to join.”

Claude Code for Designers

This is BRAND NEW.

You can watch me design and build Color Shift, and you can download the iOS app from the App Store.

The training and primary lessons cover building context, managing context, and directing AI through the work.

All of these skills carry into other AI tools as well.

A post from MDS on X: simplify the way you think about AI into 2 buckets. 1) text: skills, tools, prompts, memory, instructions, schemas, guardrails, capabilities. 2) chat: agents, subagents, threads, workflows, planners, critics, routers, coordinators. Plus code orchestrates when to do what.

Design intelligence for you and your agents. Start by connecting your AI tool of choice to the Shift Nudge MCP.

Upload your screen into the chat and say "review this with /shiftnudge" and get a critique tied to the principles and lessons behind the interface training.

Use it to find what needs attention and what to study next.

It also produces instructions for AI agents you can copy and paste.

The Critique Vault

More than 1,000 recorded video critiques of real member work.

Four recorded sessions on presenting your work. Hiring manager panels from Lovable, Dribbble, and Medium. Designer panels from Figma, Expedia, and BILL. Plus an AI portfolio coach to help with your specific situation.

The Community

The Shift Nudge community is a place to share your work, ask questions, and learn alongside other designers.

You can see what other people are making and how they're working through the same things you are.

All of that is included in PRO and VIP.

And you don't have to finish every single lesson and video before it becomes useful.

Start with the work on your desk this week.

Run one screen through Shift Nudge AI and follow the lesson references in the critique.

Illy Kempson, Design Engineer at Illy Design: “Absolutely love starting my morning with checking Shift Nudge Slack and giving feedback to fellow designers and reading feedback they’ve given me. What a great community!”

What does VIP add?

Fig. 12

The Shift Nudge VIP page with a video of MDS. Since 2020 I’ve been critiquing designers’ work inside Shift Nudge. Over a thousand recorded critiques and hundreds of live calls later, the people who invest the most time, submitting their work and implementing feedback, are the ones who excel the fastest.

This is the one thing you don't get with PRO.

Weekly live critiques and Q&A with me, the live call replay archive, and a private VIP space in the community.

Bring your work.

Ask about the decisions you're stuck on.

Watch us work through other members' screens and apply that thinking to your own.

Priority goes to people who submit work and attend regularly.

Every call is recorded, and the calls happen at US Eastern times.

If you want ongoing live feedback and the calls fit your schedule, choose VIP.

Fig. 13

Michelle Lu, Design Engineer at Meta: “Blown away by your level of feedback... Definitely getting my value out of this class!”

If the live calls rarely fit your week, PRO is the better choice.

You still get everything in the list above.

Annual membership includes the 60-day guarantee.

Open enrollment closes tomorrow, Thursday, September 10 at 11:59 PM Eastern.
